IKEA Distribution Centre, KAEC

The new distribution centre of IKEA was built in King Abdullah Economic City. AMANA’s scope was to Design & Build of the warehouse to extend the property in multiple phases. The main warehouse of the distribution centre is a High Bay of dimensions 40 m x 187 m and a height of 37 m designed as a rack supported building that can store pallets as a stock holding for extended periods and as replenishment for ordered picking.

AMANA’s contract with IKEA was Design-Build and included:
• Authority approvals and permits.
• Full civil, structural, architectural and MEP Design.
• Design and schedule coordination with the Automation Supplier.
