Standard Carpets Factory

AMANA was awarded the Build of the Standard Carpets factory, for manufacturing of yarn for carpets.

The project is to be constructed on 2 plots (Plot 5 & 6) with total plot area of 45,000m² will be developed for this phase. The state-of-the-art facility will allow Standard Carpets to increase production capacity by 40% and produce an additional 400 tons of yarn per month with this phase of the development.

The project as mentioned above is constructed as two buildings on two plots. Plot 5building is the factory area where all machineries (in-house yarn extrusion, BCF machines, twisting-cabling and heat-set facilities) will be installed for yarn production. Plot 6 building is currently used as storage for finished goods, however once the balance phases have been developed, the Plot–6 building will be converted as production factory, all the provisions are already provided for such conversion. The plot 6 building also houses all the services such as water cooled chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, boilers etc.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on the 12 July to celebrate the start of the construction.
