DB Schenker Central Logistics Hub & Regional Office

DB Schenker Central Logistics Facility Project is located at Dubai South, Dubai. The project encompasses the construction of both the regional headquarters and the central distribution center for DB Schenker on two adjacent plots of land, WE20–WE21, leased from Dubai World Central (DubaiSouth).

The Headquarters building is a G+3 office building constructed of traditional concrete frame construction with a total built-up-area (BUA) of 4,100m2. The office will accommodate both Schenker regional and country based staff. In addition to a combination of open plan and enclosed offices the facility will house a staff restaurant and external seated areas on the ground floor. There area total of 111 covered car park spaces dedicated for the office staff.The central distribution center is a steel frame building12.2m to eaves clad with fire resistant insulated sandwich panels and has a total BUA of40,536m2.This area is inclusive of 4,100m2 of structural mezzanine over the marshalling zone for value added services. 4,700m2 of the distribution center is air-conditioned to achieve 26o C ±2oC with the balance 27,100m2 serviced with natural ventilation.

There are four operational offices located within the warehouse with a total BUA of 460m2. In addition there are welfare facilities located on the mezzanine floor and two toilet facilities on the ground floor. The facility will be fitted out with a combination of VNA and conventional racking 30/70 split. The facility will accommodate 36 loading docks and space for 22 trucks and van parking.
