Al Marai Poultry Processing Plant & Accommodations

Located in Hail, Saudia Arabia, on a 1 Million m2 plot, AMANA’s scope was to design and construct a Poultry Processing Plant consisting of a large Plant Building (48,000 m2) that contained a 7,600 m2 cold store.

The plant building enclosed a slaughtering area, processing area and packaging. Adjacent to the plant building, a utility building, RO Plant, Administration Building, Women’s Building and two Rendering Buildings used for feather and bone reprocessing were constructed. The facility has a grey water system that allows grey water to wash workers’ boots. Fourteen substations were built to feed power to the facility. Ten accommodation buildings were constructed to house Al Marai staff, including a canteen building, sports facility area, full-size football pitch, cricket area, 4 basketball courts and recreation area. 8 km of roads were paved within the plot.
